Add a watermark to a PDF offline
Watermarks discourage sharing and make the status of a document obvious. PDF Haven adds a real text watermark to every page (or only the pages you choose) and shows a live preview.
Step by step
- Open the PDF and choose Watermark.
- Type the text, pick size, colour and opacity.
- Choose Diagonal or Horizontal, and Once, centred or Tiled across the page.
- Optionally limit it to some pages (e.g.
2-5). The preview updates as you type. - Click Download with watermark.

- Draft for review: "DRAFT", tiled, 15–20% opacity — readable but impossible to miss.
- Confidential: red "CONFIDENTIAL", diagonal, 25%.
- Sharing a CV or portfolio: your name and the recipient's company, tiled at 10%.
Watermarks are added as page content, so they print. Remember that a determined person with editing software can still remove a watermark; for sensitive data use redaction.
