Privacy policy

Short version: PDF Haven never uploads, stores or sees your files. There is no PDF Haven server for them to go to.

Your files

PDFs and images you open are read by the extension inside your browser tab and processed there with bundled open-source libraries (pdf.js and pdf-lib). Results are saved with your browser's normal download. Closing the tab discards everything. We do not receive, log or keep any file or its contents.

Data stored on your device

• Settings and, only if you choose "Save for next time", your saved signatures — in Chrome's local extension storage on this device.
• The date your free trial started — in Chrome sync storage, so reinstalling does not restart the trial.
• If you buy Pro: your license key, its status, the plan name and the e-mail address Lemon Squeezy returns for that key — in local extension storage, to show which license is active.

Uninstalling the extension removes this data.

Network requests

• License checks: when you activate a license key, and about twice a day while you have one, the extension sends the key to Lemon Squeezy's license API (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to check it is valid. No file data is sent.
• Opening a PDF link: only if you choose "Open in PDF Haven" on a PDF link and approve access to that website, the extension downloads that PDF from that website.
• Nothing else. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking.

Payments

Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. They process your payment details and e-mail under their own privacy policy; we receive order information needed to provide the license.

Permissions

• storage — settings, saved signatures, license status.
• contextMenus — "Open in PDF Haven" on PDF links.
• activeTab — when you click the toolbar button on a PDF tab, to offer opening that PDF.
• Optional site access — requested for one website at a time, only when you ask to open a PDF link from it.

Children

PDF Haven is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
