Add page numbers to a PDF

Merged a report from several files and now the page numbers are a mess? Add clean, consistent numbers in one step.

Step by step

  1. Open (or merge) the PDF and choose Page numbers.
  2. Pick a format: 1, Page 1, Page 1 of 9, 1 / 9 or a custom one using {n} and {total}.
  3. Click a position — top or bottom, left, centre or right — and set the size.
  4. Tick Skip the first page for a cover; set Start at to continue numbering from another document.
  5. Click Download with numbers.

Numbers follow each page's orientation, so rotated landscape pages get upright numbers. Custom formats work in any language, for example Trang {n}/{total} or Seite {n}.
